Mugen Seiki Item Description:

  • Mugen Seiki is pleased to announce the new MTC-3 electric touring car kit. The MTC-3 is an evolution of the highly successful MTC-2 and MTC-2R platform. The prototype was first used at the 2024 IFMAR World Championship where both MTC-3s qualified for the A-Main final with Ronald Volker finishing 4th and Jacob Cruz 10th.
  • The MTC-3 comes with a completely new design. The only parts that come from the MTC-2R are the drive shafts, coil, diff and drive belt. The MTC-3 has a 1.5 mm thick aluminum chassis that works great on both asphalt and carpet. The top deck design is unique and the short shocks round out a nice new suspension package.
  • Below is a list of features and details about the new Mugen Seiki MTC3 1/10th scale electric touring car.
  • The MTC3 offers improved handling, tuning and lap times!

Chassis

  • New 1.5mm aluminum chassis.
  • Used with standard screws only (no special screws required).
  • The new chassis offers a wider range of torsional stiffness settings to adapt to all track conditions.
  • The new chassis eliminates the need for a carbon chassis option.
  • Lower center of gravity for improved cornering (0.5 mm or 0.7 mm).
  • The chassis design has less overhang to create more clearance and reduce the likelihood of the chassis touching the track surface.

Suspension

  • New carbon lower arm design.
  • New shock and upper arm angle adjustability - no shims required, no shims to misplace.
  • Faster and easier setup adjustments.

Engine mount

  • Redesigned aluminum engine mount.
  • New adjustable countershaft height.
  • Allows the main gear to be used in the lowest possible position.
  • Ability to use 90-inch spur gears for a wide range of categories and track conditions (standard and modified).
  • Better weight distribution.

Top deck

  • New carbon top decks with improved position of the top deck in the vehicle.
  • New top deck where the upper bulkheads can be completely removed.
  • Easy access to the differential without having to remove anything other than the rear top deck.
  • New bulkheads with compact design

Shock absorbers

  • The new shock absorber bridges are bolted directly to the bulkheads - no additional parts are required (can be used in fixed or active position).
  • New short shock absorbers provide a lower center of gravity and improved geometry.
  • New range of ultra-short shock absorbers.
  • Reduced weight of the shock package.

New body posts

  • Easier body mounting.
  • The front has two spacers to facilitate body preparation.
  • Three body mounting options are available at the rear (horizontal, vertical and horizontal with additional part for mounting in the body wing strut).
  • The rear has an adjustable suspension travel stopper, which is included in the kit.

Other new features

  • New body support included in the MTC3 kit.
  • New upper arms with new design using a 6 mm ball.
  • Two body stop positions.
  • Lightweight bumper - the carbon upper plate includes an adjustable travel limiter.

ToniSport Tips

  • The Mugen Seiki caster measuring tool is a MUST HAVE (B0560). The set includes 4 measuring pointers and you can easily share it with another person!
  • We recommend the use of Arrowmax, or Axon DTS 64DP main gears.
  • For a 3.8 reduction in stock classes (ETS regulations), simply use a 90 main gear and a 45 motor pinion.
  • For Modified, a good place to start is with a 94 main gear and a 25 motor pinion.
  • You need an adjustable servo horn to be able to set a height of 15 or 16mm.
